With the Flying Grand Regulator Open Gear Retrograde Second, ReSec for short, for the first time in its history, Chronoswiss presents a regulator timepiece in a striking 44mm case with automatic movement. The dials are intricately guilloched by hand and all models are limited to 50 timepieces.

The elaborate 3-dimensional regulator construction of the Paraiba with central minute, decentralized hour at 12 o'clock, as well as a circling crescent at 6 o'clock, allows deep insights into the mechanics of the regulator. A daring vision, and artistic craftsmanship, have created a very progressive timepiece.

The Open Gear Hypnotic truly mesmerizes with its hand-guilloché dial that magically changes colors from blue to violet. The combination of the soft & flowing guilloché pattern and the exposed raw mechanics instantly captivates the eye.

The Open Gear Freeze embodies cool elegance. Limited to 50 pieces worldwide, this masterpiece features an ice-blue & straight-line guilloché dial, reminiscent of the breathtaking patterns seen on frozen lakes.

Each of the 50 timepieces of the limited edition features a hand-guilloched dial.

The action-packed, three-dimensional hybrid dial construction is made of 42 parts stacked in several layers. Black galvanised bridges support skeletonised open-gear train wheels – revealed principal mechanics that propel the hands in divided hours, minutes and seconds. On the ReSec models, the seconds hand is a 30-second retrograde running in a semicircle from 4 to 8 o’clock before jumping back...

A hypnotising long-wave guilloché sets the scene on the metallic blue Open Gear ReSec Big Wave, a classically inclined modern mechanical timepiece that marries regulator and retrograde.

The multiple-layered regulator set-up is based on the principle of a hybrid dial, doubling up as a module plate holding the straight-grained bridges, screws and wheels of the automatic C.301 movement.

With its barely existent dial and a skeletonized movement, the precious watch is freed from all superfluous material in an innovative manner. The result is a multidimensional Regulator watch with an elaborately constructed dial and deep insights, available in a limited edition of 30 timepieces.
