A hypnotising long-wave guilloché sets the scene on the metallic blue Open Gear ReSec Big Wave, a classically inclined modern mechanical timepiece that marries regulator and retrograde.

The multiple-layered regulator set-up is based on the principle of a hybrid dial, doubling up as a module plate holding the straight-grained bridges, screws and wheels of the automatic C.301 movement.
